Google Calendar Toggle/Hide Sidebar and Search (Chrome, Greasemonkey)

Introduction
There are some Firefox Add-ons that do the same thing, but they’re not compatible with Firefox 3.6 and Greasemonkey. This script also will work in Google Chrome (which is pretty sweet all over). It’s quite simple how it works. When the page loads you’ll now find a “Tighten” checkbox which will allow you to toggle the normal display with the condensed display. This is helpful if you need to do a search, toggle on/off calendars you have, or view your mini-calendar.

Howdy! Google is about to push us all to the new calendar design, and tightening no longer works, much to my dismay. Any thought on an update to your most useful script?
Many thanks, and thanks for developing this in the first place!

Hello Tom,
Thank you for letting me know. I will make sure to add this to my list of scripts to update, but sadly a lot of people do not use this one. Although I hope to eventually get to it, I’m not sure how quickly that will be. I will let you know when I make headway on it.
Thank you,

Hi, would it be possible to add a keyboard shortcut for this? Something like u or f to be consistent with google reader?

Hey Rob,
That’s a great idea! I’ll add it to the list of suggestions I have for the Google Calender Tighten script and I’ll let you know when it’s updated.
Thank you,
Daniel Slaughter

I have downloaded your toggle and like the way it gets rid of the sidebar. When I change from one calendar screen to another, or when I toggle on the closed sidebar, the toggle option disappears. When I close the calendar and reopen, it appears again.
Any suggestions.

Hello Randy,
This is a bug someone else reported recently. I’ll look into why this is happening within the next week or so and correct the issue.
Thank you very much for reporting this,

The script is not working on recent releases of Chrome

Hello Richard, I am using both the developer version and most recent stable release if chrome and it seems to be working correctly. What version number are you using and what operating system? At what point is the script not working? Does it at least load some text into the header? Do you have any order user script or scripts which alter gmail? What Google labs features do you have enabled? Thanks in advance!
